Here at Toasty Candles, we care about you, the air you breathe and the environment. That is why we use only natural waxes such as rapeseed and beeswax. Unlike paraffin wax, which is a derivative of petroleum, these waxes don't release carcinogenic toxins. We try not to use artificial colourings too, thats why most of our candles are natural wax colour.
Locally Sourced Wax
Rapeseed and Beeswax can all be obtained locally, whereas paraffin and soy wax are often obtained from the other side of the world. We obtain all our waxes from the UK or Europe.
Rapeseed wax candles are vegan and burn cleanly. Rapeseed wax is made from rapeseed oil which comes from the yellow flowering plants often seen growing out in the countryside. Beeswax candles are natural, warm-coloured and give off a lovely scent. Promoting beekeeping by buying beeswax helps encourage more bees which are declining in numbers across the world due to pesticides.
